I need suggestion from my forum friends. My immigration officer is MCH. Now story is,

We received medical request in Sep'13 along with police certificates for myself and my spouse from Pakistan. Also police certificate from UK for myself only. Now after four months MCH has asked for Police Certificate for my spouse from UK as well.

MCH has not asked for Proof of Funds so far. We provided Proof of Funds in sep'12 when there was addition in the family.

Now my question is whether we should send proof of funds along with police certificate or not. I do not want to see after few months, MCH comes back and asks for Proof of Funds.

Please give your suggestions.

Dear Brother,

My understanding is very clear that you should submit only that document/information what is requested otherwise you may confuse them with extra information and it can create a negative impact for eg. that they may think that you are trying to be over smart or you want to use your money after submitting the fresh POF….
It can bring more headache for you and can delay your case further due to one stupid mistake …and then there is chance they may ask again POF before issuance of Visa if you submit POF now without their request…

So in simple words just send PCC from UK and keep the funds in your account till you get your Visa in hand and then also you need the POF at the time of landing….

When did u sent the pcc and pof, and when did u send enquiry, I also sent them pcc and pof on 9th November, they sent me to fill the spouce data only, iam wondering to send them an enquiry....

I was asked for POF & PCC on 23.9.13 & I sent those docs in 1st week of October 2013.
Try your luck! This may trigger something if due otherwise expect routine reply of background checks.

we went through medicals on 22nd Jan. there has'nt been any contact from IOM after that so hopefully medicals are clear without any further requirements. i have also couriered PCC, POF, Forms, RPRF Draft and medical slip to the LVO...when do they update Medicals Recieved in eCAS?

No, you are required to carry your own COPR only and dont even make a mistake to carry your family's COPR with you as each person is required to sign it on the airport in front of an immigration officer. Secondly, here in Canada, there will be no need of the family's COPR because it is not considered valid unless signed at 3 places. Yes, for you can keep photocopies for your record keeping purposes. Finally, one very very important point for all the people who are in the que and will Insha Allah come here sooner or later is that take very good care of your COPR when you land here because in the initial days, they use it as the "only proof" to judge that you are a new immigrant while it is even used till your retirement for pensions and other purposes so COPR is very important throughout your life in Canada. Best of luck all and plus one for me!
