GCMS notes has no impact on your application at all and they are free of charge if you live in canada.
but whats the point in ordering them 4 months after you sent an application,looking at the current trend most people get their medical request within a 10 months window with a fewer exception of course.

let me clarify your query.

My medical results were received by CIC on 31-Oct as per ECAS status. First time I got GCMS before my medical request. Now, I'm thinking like others on this thread would it be a good idea to apply for Gcms notes now for the second time or better to be patient and wait for DM status on ecas and PPR email etc....

Because I saw many applicants got PPR and DM status on ecas on same day of medicals received by CIC or may be in a week from medicals received date.

I live in Canada. First time I paid 5$ online when I applied for GCMS notes as per my friend's suggestion.

if you got medical request and already done,most likely you will get PPR this month.
you can request GCMS notes under privacy acts for free as long as you provide a canadian mailing address.

I did my medical on 4th Nov and my ecas was updated with medical received either yesterday or this morning..

got medicals and rprf oct 8th medicals uploaded 20th by doctor but ecas still says application received dont know what to do

Status: Sent

IME Status: Not Started
Reason for Closure: Recieved in eMed
MOF Rationale Exists: No

Any idea what does these fields mean?

I got MR on Oct 10, did my Medical on Oct 17 and Medical Report uploaded on Oct 28 (as per clinic),
but no updates on eCAS..

I had my medical done on 21st of October but don't hear anything yet as of now.

No updates on eCAS.
ECAs Status - In Process
But clinic has confirmed that they sent my medical on Oct 29th.

Hi, can anyone suggest on below.

I heard we can email local MP to find our file status in a weeks time. This way we no need to wait for GCMS notes for 30 days. Did any of you try this option? Does it impact our application processing? Or better to wait for PPR whenever it comes?


Note: generally MP office staff call us and give latest status on phone may be in 7 to 10 days....
