So i applied for SA on April 8th 2014 June 5th received email saying i need Declaration for step son .I knew i had missed this so already had it on hand to send back They received it on the 6th June . August 5th i received a phone call from Cic asking date of birth day for 1st son who i not on the application form because he is not a dependent . The Vo was really nice and said all good we will be sending you out an email of decision, but your file will be sent today to London. I received the email from CiC approving my sponsorship the same day , telling me to email London if i have any further information etc etc.

Today i receive an email requesting the same information . I called Cic help line and that's all she kept saying is you have to comply. She told me my application is still in Mississauga and it is not complete. No other answers just comply . This will be the second time i have sent off the same document. The documents date has not changed. I know i will have to summit but does any one else have any other ideas to what has happened to my file . I am ready to scream .

Was the email from the London VO?

No it said send documents to Mississauga,that's what i don't understand .Even though it was being processed in London, or thats what it said on the sponsor approval letter.

I guess you can send them the documents again. Is there any chance the document you sent the first time might not have passed scrutiny?


We got an email from Manila VO in July telling us to send us a Police Certificate. We asked why, because the one we sent in was not outdated or anything, and we obtained it by following the instructions on CIC's website. They just said "comply". Eventually, after much prodding (through our MP, because they would not answer our emails) they answered that the original PC I sent had not passed scrutiny because it didn't look like other PCs they had on file.

So I don't know, maybe they thought the document you sent before was ok, but on closer inspection, it wasn't? I know it doesn't make a lot of sense... but hopefully everything's alright. I guess you should send them that document again. Maybe you can attach to it a note saying this is the second time, and if there is something wrong with it, please be more specific in your instructions.

Given that you have the sponsor approval from months ago stating the app was transferred to London and are now being told the app wasn't transferred, I suggest you have your husband ask his MP to inquire what the heck is going on.

Thanks canuck i called yesterday to see if i could get an appointment , answer machine will try again today .Its just bizarre. I found an old email from the VO who gave me my sponsorship, don't expect a reply,but worth a shot . My notes should be here this week too, as i ordered them 30 days ago.

it's quite possible it's staying there and not being processed in london.

Was the letter addressed to you or are you and your husband using the same email for communication?

Sorry you re going through this. Just wanted to put in my 2 cents. Immigration can be a very bumpy ride (especially if you are a type A personality) I don't have any hair left to pull out. I know its easier said than done but try not to let it get the better of you. !!!!!

There have been some on the Kingston thread who's file have been transfered to Port Of Spain - Trinidad...so it is possible that it was transfered back to Mississauga

I went to my MP today and they are making an inquiry on my behalf .I have just mailed the forms off to my husband ,so go from there . gms notes should arrive this week so that will help . Thank you for your help, will see what happens by this time next week. This will just add another 2 months to my app again.
