My wife received this email just last week, but prior to this email they already asked my passport, pictures, medical report and etc. I forwarded everything they asked me to my wife and my wife sent it to them and this was their reply:

You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly, the Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s) has been forwarded to a visa office abroad for further processing.

Should you need to submit additional information or make any further enquiries regarding the Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s), you may contact the visa office by e-mail, fax, or in writing as follows.

what should i do? or does anyone same as my situation?

Base on the email they sent back, it seems like your wife received the sponsor Approval letter ( Step 1)

I don't understand why would they ask for the passport when the file wasn't transfer to the VO yet.
