Through which VO do you go? Because most of the sponsorship approvals happen within a month and then many people don't hear from their VO anymore for several months or even a year.
I don't want to be negative but so far your case is just a regular and not a fast one ;-) But congratulations anyways :-D

Thanks a lot my friends! We send our application 10 October 2013, 14 November they gave my husband approuve for sponsorship nand tranfered the file to Mexico City I live here :) and the 11 decembre VO Mexico City contact me for sending the CSQ and other document and they told me that the process will be in 6 months :) I think that is faster, because I thought that my visa office would contact me in 6 or seven months but that took only one month :) I hope the process will be faster for all of us my friends :) Its hard but love can do all :)

Ah, okay they told you that it would be done in 6 months. That's fast for sure ;-)

Given that the latest published figures for Mexico are 14 months for 80% of applications to be processed, I suspect that "6 months" is somewhat optimistic. Also, looking at the statistics for Mexico in the last 12 months, it was taking 7 months to even process 20% of all FC1 applications.

I really hope that you are not going to be disappointed...

When VO London told my friend she has to send more documents in, they mentioned that it can take up to 4 months to look at these documents. These 4 months are usually added to the average processing times. Maybe this is was VO Mexico meant when they send the request to you

That's great!
When we applied, our Visa Office wait time was 11 months for stage 2. Our stage 2 took a little less than 4 months.

Mexico is nowhere like our Vienna. They are simply flying through the apps. It seems we with Vienna are stuck with the world's slowest and most miserable VO

Dear dkaley

Sorry I cannot help you on this as we are not familiar with this process (my wife did not live in Canada)
I am sure someone else will answer your question or better still post your question in the main Family thread

Regards

It takes only 21 days to receive the CSQ :) Also, don't want to be a party pooper but you should expect it could start lagging at some point. My application was going very fast (Mexico also) and then it stalled at one point, had to get my MP involved and now we finally got the AOR.

Wish you all the best in your application!
