My hubby and I are trying to get everything ready to send in for the application and I'm confused!!

When we send the package in, do we want to do the medical, fingerprints and clearance right away? Or do we wait for stage 2?
Please help me figure out what to put into the package as I really don't want to have to redo things.

What do they do in Stage 1 vs Stage 2??

Appreciate it!!

It's best if you submit everything up front, including proof of the medical and all required police clearance certificates.

Are you applying inland or outland? Note, you may use the outland route even if you're in Canada at the moment. It's usually better to do so.

better to send in everything...pay all the fees if you can upfront. will save you time.
stage one is your sponsor getting approval to well be your sponsor
stage two is you getting approval for permanent residency.

Hi Confused

It is best to submit everythnig in advance if possible. However, it is required to submit your medical with the initial application (It will get sent back to you if you don't submit the proof of medical form).

The Police Clearances can be submitted later but it may cause a delay in your processing (the visa office will request them and then put your application back in the que to wait for you to submit them). However, depending on how long it takes to get certain police clearances it might be worthwhile... for example, our SA clearance took 8 weeks so we submitted the application and are now sending the clearance in for stage 2. I think by doing the police check while the application was being processed we will have saved some time. But then again who knows...

Just remember if you do that - police clearances must be no more than 3 months old when submitted so you need to time it right so nothing expires before submitting (assume it will be 2 months between sending in your application and receiving your AOR so you can submit additional documents).

OK SO IM STILL CONFUSED.......YOU SAY IM OK ? LIKE I WILL GET MY PAPERS OR SHOULD I BE SCARE ? LOL I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO THINK..THAT LETTERS SAY NOTHING TO ME CUZ I DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IMMIGRATION......PLS REPLY ASAP !

You are probably better off starting a new thread versus hijacking someone else's. It makes it easier for people to respond to you.

I have no idea what you are asking... but good luck.
