Hi @legalfalcon ,

Under PNP, My destination city is regina (as per COPR)
But am landing in saskatoon (same province). would that be fine?
It does not matter where you land. You can land any port of enter, land, air or water and then move to your nominating province.

To read on PNP and to obligations, see https://bit.ly/3qLyze3

Are number of calls made to IRCC mentioned on gcms notes? Will it negatively impact the application processing in anyway @legalfalcon
No, you can call IRCC and it has no impact, unless you call and are abusive or call frequently.

thanks @legalfalcon, I'll give that a try. I looked in the ATIP options, should I request from Health Canada, or Public Health? or regular GCMS request to IRCC and say want medical info specifically in the request message?
You have to request them from IRCC. It is IRCC's health branch that has your medicals, not Health Canada or Public Health.

Hello @legalfalcon
When I did my medical exam, my blood pressure was 130/90. I asked the doctor if he need to retake it again, since I though that it was high, but he said that it was normal and he didn't measure it again, nor requested more further tests.

Can this blood pressure make a problem with the results of my medicals? Can I fail the medical exam due to this reading? Since it's considered "hypertension"? Or even people with high blood pressure (hypertension) still pass the medicals?

Thanks a lot!

You are just overthinking.

Hi @legalfalcon could you maybe guide me regarding the following? Thank you in advance!

When applying to OINP, it says that I need to upload Status Documents issued by IRCC or CBSA if applicable.

Copies of current and previous status documents issued by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) or the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). Documents may include work permits, study permits, temporary resident visas, and/or any other Canadian immigration document.
I have been issued an eTA and an Authorization for Exemption from COVID-19 Canadian Travel Restrictions. Are these considered Status Documents issued by IRCC? Should I include them in my OINP application?

Hi @legalfalcon

My GCMS notes generated on Dec 14th 2020 says that my application is approved. However webform response received on Jan 22nd 2021 says that background verification has not been initiated

GCMS notes generated on 14th Dec 2020
ASSESSMENTS
Eligibility: Passed
Security:
HIRV:
Criminality: Passed - Bio
Org Crime:
Medical: Passed
Misrep:
Other Req:
Info Sharing: Complete
Final: Approved
Counterfoil Req: Y

Webform response. Raised On Dec 19th 2020 response received on 22nd 2021

We verified the information on file and can confirm that:
  • The eligibility verification is currently valid.
  • The security background verification has not been initiated.
  • The criminal background verification is currently valid.
I don't understand why there is a difference. Do I need to look for anything else in GCMS notes? Does this mean my application is still in progress?

No, these are not state documents. Status documents refer to work visa, visitors visa, study permit, and similar documents that show your status in Canada.

If page 2 says, approved, then your application is approved. You can see the first 3-5 pages for COPR number is it has been generated.

Hello @legalfalcon

I know this has been asked before but I just want to double check.
I lived in Dubai for 7 years, vacationed in my home country for only 4 times in that 7 years (max of 1 month).
My PCC in home country was issued October 16, 2018, last departure from home country to Dubai was October 22, 2018 (and never went back home).
Moved to Canada from Dubai in 2019. Do I need to request for a new PCC or submit the October 16, 2018 one?

Thank you.

Your 2018 PCC will work.

As per IRCC:

  • For the applicant’s current country of residence, the police certificate must have been issued no more than 6 months before the submission of the e-APR.
  • For countries in which the applicant no longer resides, the police certificate must have been issued after the last time the applicant stayed in that country for 6 months or more in a row.
  • Police certificates meeting the above requirements can be accepted even if they have an expiry date that has passed.
  • This includes the requirement to provide a police certificate for countries in which the individual has travelled for 6 months or more in a row, whether or not the individual had an established residential address during this time.
  • Police certificates are required upfront and are mandatory for each country (except Canada) where an individual has spent 6 months or more in a row within the last 10 years. The individual does not need to provide one for any period of time before the age of 18.

Hello @legalfalcon , Need ur help to understand following:
I am ICT applicant NOC B, App submitted Aug 2019, Bio done Sep 1st week 2019. In Aug 2020 IRCC asked for additional document- ( employment confirmation that the job is still valid+ quarantine plan) to which my employer responded within the requested time frame.

Having called IRCC , I got following update last week: Eligibility, Medical and criminality has passed, Info sharing is complete and the file is at Abu dhabi embassy for the final approbation, he also said it seems that the file is advanced to be approved, but yet not confirmed.

Does this mean all the process on my application is finished and its just the final decision to be made ?
your comments pls....
Hello Dear, Need your help
I received the same letter from ircc Abu Dhabi requesting to confirm if the employment is still valid. can you please advise what kind of document did your employer produce to confirm the employment?
Thanks in advance
