Thank you @legalfalcon.
To be more clear about my situation: I received my LMIA on jan 2019 (validity till june 2019) and my wp based on it on feb 2019. In bowp, If I answer yes to the “do you have a job offer?” question, will they ask me to enter LMIA details?
1. If yes, what should I enter?
2. If I enter my employer details, will it look like a closed WP extension and confuse the visa offer?

Please advice @legalfalcon

The WP you received on Feb 2019 was based on the LMIA on Jan 2019. When you apply for a BOWP, LMIA info will not be asked since its an open WP.

Thanks @legalfalcon for advice.
I just noticed that my current application UCI number starts with CAN. Is it okay?
I m confused because my earlier application UCI only has numbers.
Am I missing something?
A UCI number starting with CAN is a temp UCI ad will change to a permanent one which will be either a 8 or a 10 digit number and will look like:

11-1234-5678 or
1234-5678

See https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=013&top=4

Since you have a UCI before, once your application processing starts, you will get the same UCI on this application too. Once you have a UCI it will remain the same for as many applications you file, including the citizenship application after you become a PR.

Today I received a GU and noticed that my Medicals has changed to "You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes.", where previously it was shown as "(date) You've passed the medical exam". My original medicals expired on around December 20, does this look like I should expect a remedial or extension coming from IRCC?

Thanks!
If you meds wee about to expire, IRCC will send them for reassessment and the regional medical officer will decide of you need a re-med or of an extension can be given.

Most like your meds have been sent for a reassessment. Just wait for a decision.

In most cases if your medical assessment was M1. See https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/standard-requirements/medical-requirements/assessing/medical-assessment-coding.html

you will get an extension.

Hello,
My security is in progress. I want to request a note, and I am not sure if I should order CBSA or CSIS, or even GCMS.
Could you please help me understand the differences between them? Is there any link to a reference that explains the differences and tells which one is better to understand the details of the security process of the application?
Thanks.

@legalfalcon
All applications go though security and pending on whether you application was inland or outland, either CBSA or CSIS or both may be involved in your security screening. As per the manual security screening should take 110 days for one average application.

As regards CBSA and GCMS notes, they look exactly the same, just requested form different agencies. Also, the date when your file was sent for security screening will be available in the CBSA notes, while in the GCMS notes this info is redacted.

CSIS notes do not have much into except if CSIS is involved, and if they are, the day when the request was sent to them and if they have released the report on your security to CBSA, who then compiles the final report and sends it to IRCC.

See https://bit.ly/3hwVhDc

To brief answer your question:
Form the GCMS notes see when your eligibility was conclusively passed. see #2,520

If it has been more than 3 months and your security has started and still pending, then you can consider requesting CBSA and CSIS notes.

Before you request the CBSA / CSIS notes, send webform and ask for the status on your application. To read on how to decipher the webform responses see https://bit.ly/3rKjRoP

Hi legal falcon sir Kindly advise for my situation my pr application was recently approved and I am expecting the portal email soon. Unfortunately I need to travel urgently outside canada and I guess my pr card will be mailed while I am outside canada. Kindly let me know how to apply for the prtd document. I am traveling to poland. I got the pr approval message from ircc call center agent and the email will be send from Etobicoke office. Kindly advise sir what documents I need to apply for prtd and what documents should I carry to pacify the cbsa officers is my ecopr sufficient to apply for prtd
Tp apply for PRTD the entire procedure is listed at the following link:

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/new-immigrants/pr-travel-document.html

However, before you rely on PRTD, make sure you will be in the country for long enough time so as to get the processing done. Also, some VOs are closed and it may take longer.

So keep your options open.

@legalfalcon can you please help me

i have canadian two year diploma should i have to get ECA for my foreign diploma ? i applied through CEC and in my education history i mentioned about my foreign education bit selected NO for ECA. i got ITA and no points are being claimed. what should i do ?

should i continue with NO ECA for foreign education in education history section? or should i delete it from there? also is it mandatory to have ECA fpr foreign education even if you have canadian diploma?

If you are not claiming any points for foreign education you do not need a EcA. Only if you claim points for foreign education, you need an ECA.

@legalfalcon another quick question.

I am in the process of arranging documents and I got my PoF letters after ITA. ITA on 9 Dec and PoF letters on 12 Dec. However, my submission will be on 5th Jan 2021 so will that be a problem? I understand we need to submit documents as latest as possible and all documents have been collected on various dates. I just don't want to give a reason to the VO.

Any help would be appreciated

It does not matter when the documents are dated. For PoF, all IRCC needs is that you provide a letter from the financial institution stating that you have the funds and the 6 months average balance for it.

Your documents only have to be valid as on the date you file your application, if they subsequently expire, you do not need to submit updated documents.

Did you not get an upfront medical done?

Hi @legalfalcon can you help me with below questions for personal history?

1) for past organizations, do I need to add the experiences in student clubs? For example, I joined school marching band in elementary school and student basketball clubs in high school...

2) when I fill the organization, what is the difference between:
*Please provide the name of the company, employer, school, or facility as appropriate.
*Name of the organization
If I write I joined a student club, then the two columns should be the same?

3) How should I add personal history when I was unemployed and stayed in 2 different cities for some time? Should I separate 2 rows for each city?

I know these questions might be kind of trivial but I genuinely need some help to finalize my eAPR.

Really appreciate your help!

1. No, only political organisations or groups.

2. you can put them as separate entries.
