'secure outstanding' can refer to any document which IRCC is awaiting. It can be a security screening from CSIS, or information from a foreign government. Without looking into the notes, I cannot pin point it specifically. What you need to look is at what stage your application is at. What do the agents notes state. Based on the collective information, you can narrow down what documents are awaited.

Also, does your GCMS notes have s 15/16 blanked pages or notes. This will be another factor to look into. Some applicants who have "secure outstanding" do see longer waiting times, but it will depend on what information is IRCC looking for. With the limited information you provided and without seeing your notes, I cannot give you any specific answer.

I've already passed medicals, criminality and eligibility.
On page 15-16 there are no security related info. There are only notes about sub-activities: 2, FSW category assessment (language, education etc.). Nothing security-related as much as I can judge. However, on other pages there are some blanks. What info do you need to assess this secure outstanding issue?
I truly appreciate your help.
Best,

Best,

It is difficult to state anything more before looking at the notes. What you state here is pretty much everything seems to be on track.

Hi, I need help in understanding the status of my application.

I got AOR on Dec 01, 2016 and got my medicals passed on Dec 02, 2016. Since then there has been no update in my profile.

I emailed the LVO which is in London and got a reply on 15th March 2017 that:

"your application is undergoing necessary background checks. Please be advised that there are various checks that a file may need to undergo during the application process. We will contact you once the checks are complete."

After that there has been no status change and when we emailed them again and got this reply:

"We are writing with regards to your application for permanent residence in Canada.

The file still awaits further review. We will be in touch in due course. Your patience is highly appreciated."

Does this mean that BG has been completed and the application is in final review stage?

This is just the generic response that you receive from IRCC. I won't read too much into it. Most likely your BGC is in progress, or they are awaiting a document from some other organization.
The only way to find out what is happening with your application is to get GCMS notes.

Hello LegalFalcon.

My friend has a strange situation, he got an invitation in Feb this year as he completed his one year Canadian Exp in January. But while applying he got to know that he has some part time work experience in his previous job so technically he is not eligible for EE as he doesn't have full 52 weeks of full time work exp. so he hasn't applied for EE yet and want to recreate a profile. So while creating a profile, they asked him whether he has applied for EE before? and asking for a EE profile number. What should he do now? should he answer Yes or NO?

Thank you

The answer to the question is "NO".

You apply for EE or immigration when you file your application post ITA. Creating a profile does not mean you have applied. Neither does getting a ITA mean that you have applied. Creating a profile is entering the pool. When you file your final application post ITA is when you actually apply.

Hope this helps!

Every update is a step further. Get your medicals done and order GCMS notes after you send in your meds. You are closer than ever to getting a PPR.

Hey legalfalcon, based on your assessment of the process in general so far, if a person has been requested Schedule A, does this mean a11.2 is met (if BG is IP right since Meds Passed)?

Most likely yes, but the only certain way to know if by GCMS, everything else is speculation.

When your medicals expire and you are asked to redo them, its the entire medicals. An applicant being asked for only a specific medical re-done is because his tests were inconclusive or there were issues with it. But a re-do is the entire thing again unless asked otherwise by IRCC.

Hello ,

Need some suggestion/advice.

I am primary applicant for PNP-O category, Indian citizen and residing in India. My wife (indian Citizen)is currently in Germany on Student visa.
We are yet waiting for PPR request but would like to know :-
* Do we both have to submit our passport together to VFS - New Delhi ?
* Can the primary applicant submit passport to VFS - New Delhi and my wife to VFS-Germany ?

Thanks in advance .
