Hi @legalfalcon
Today I've got remedical request, but I already gave upfront medicals on 5th March, in fact, agent confirmed that he could see a note on 10th March in my file. What do you suggest what should I do? Keep filling few more webforms or ask hospital to link the request letter to the actual one?

Thanks in advance!

hello @legalfalcon
I am filling in the imm1295e form currently and I have got a question in the 10 years education and employment history part.
I completed my 4-years UG study in Hong Kong, and I spent one semester as an exchange student in Korea.
Do i need to mention my semester exchange in the 10 years education and employment history?
Or should I just mention studying in Hong Kong for 4 years?

Option A:
2014.09 - 2018.09 XXX University, Hong Kong

Option B:
2014.09 - 2018.09 XXX University, Hong Kong
2016.09 - 2017.01 YYY University, Korea

Thanks!

@legalfalcon I received COPR last week but they mentioned my full name on both last name and given name field. But my passport only has Given name and no last name. When I applied for CEC, I wrote my given name in last name field and left given name field blank. Is this normal to have twice name on COPR?
Hey there I had the same I applied for student visa, same issue as yours no last name in passport and in visa application I put my first name in last name and left first name blank but on my ppr, BVL and in letter of introduction my name first name is written in both my frist name and last name

Is it normal ?

Hello @legalfalcon, quick question for you,
I am a Oct 2020 AOR FSW-O and have recently gotten a remed request that I passed. Today they have sent a new email requesting an updated schedule A and:

 Police Certificate: Please provide an updated certificate.

I have not left China since AOR, but prior to AOR have lived in the US and UK (provided both certificates in my original application).

Is it safe to assume that they are only looking for an updated Chinese police certificate, and not the UK/US ones?

Thanks in advance!
Most likely yes. Also, you can send an LoE along with the PCC and clarify.

Option b.

Also, in your personal history and address history, you will have to mention your exchange semester.

When you get your remeds done on your own, this is what will happen as the IME is not linked to your application and will have to be done manually as compared to when IRCC sends a re-med request.

You will have to wait and send webforms to request that your meds be linked. The panel physician cannot do anything about it.

Hey @legalfalcon ,

I am wondering if there is any legal action that can be taken against IRCC? For many people waiting for 1+ year, the application has not been moved after the initial R10 check. There should be some way to make them responsible for how they work.

Hello @legalfalcon

I, along with my family, recently completed soft landing at Vancouver and returned back. We completed all required steps as required and outlined by border services agency. Me and my family were all vaccinated and had no issues at the airport, with the immigration officer or at the Service Canada office. Luckily, we were not selected for the randomised testing.

Today, I received an IVR call from Public Health Agency Canada stating that it was a compliance call made to travellers who enter Canada. Initial thought was that was a scam call but got the same call again so continued with the IVR options on the call. The IVR gave correct date of our entry into Canada and required us to confirm DOB.

Further on the call, it mentioned that my spouse was selected for randomised testing at the airport and whether we completed the Day 1 testing or not. However, none of us were not selected for arrival testing and hence we did not do it.

Couple of questions
1) Could it have been a scam call ?
2) If it was not a scam call, what can we do ?

Pls do let me know.

Hi @legalfalcon, My passport only has my father's given names but my father's passport also has surname. In EE application as well as Schedule A I wrote his name just as it appears on his passport. I didn't submit any LOE for this. Is it going to create any problem? Is there any way I can handle this now? I am at post ADR submission stage.

@legalfalcon: I have been residing in a new address for a few weeks now (address change is within the same Country (Netherlands) and I have just changed cities). In an earlier post, I had asked you whether I should inform IRCC about this address change to which you had given the response it is not required since the change is within the same country. I now observe that applicants are receiving requests to re-submit a new PCC and a completed Schedule A form as a pre-requisite for receiving the PR. In the PCC that we get in Netherlands, the current address is mentioned while one has to fill in the address details of the last 10 years in Schedule A form and in both cases, the information that I have submitted to IRCC will not be in sync with the information in these documents (as the documents will contain my new address details but IRCC is not aware of this new address). Is it a good idea to inform IRCC of this address change even if it is within the same country? It's been around two months since I have shifted and will informing them this late be an issue?

IRCC is asking for a new PCC if the application has been in progress for a long period of time and to ensure that during that time there have been no changes to the criminal record and sch A does that by verifying the info, which was submitted. If there is a change of CoR, then IRCC will ask for a new PCC.

As regards the PCC and the address on it, the PCC will always be sent to the address where you are residing or want it to be mailed. The PCC is pan country and not local, and for the purpose of IRCC, it is irrelevant.

However, if you want to change your address in the file, you can send a web form. But you will notice that in most cases it is not even changed on the GCMS notes. If you change your address as a result of a change in CoR, then you have to notify IRCC.

Hope this helps.

It won't have any issues for your application, however, if you want to apply for a visa for your father down the line, you will have to provide the same name affidavit and another supporting document to show the relationship.

To address this situation, you can get your passport amended and make sure that the name in it is the same as it appears on your father's passport.

Couple of questions
1) Could it have been a scam call ?
2) If it was not a scam call, what can we do ?

Pls do let me know.

1. Scam calls are very common in Canada and people pretend to be CBSA / CRA / Health Canada officers. See https://www.canada.ca/en/public-safety-canada/campaigns/covid19.html

2. If it was a scam call, you can report it https://www.antifraudcentre-centreantifraude.ca/index-eng.htm
But nothing happens in most cases as these people are never traced.

You can also contact Health Canada and CBSA and ask them to verify if you were selected for a random screening. If you did not receive anything at the airport, most likely you were not subject to any screening requirement.
