Hi Asivad,

I created a new EE profile, withdrew my old EE profile and deactivated my old job bank, but with my new profile created and linked to a new job bank my profile status is still shown pending , is there anything I can do to remedy this and if there was a draw now and my CRS meets the cut off will i get an ITA even with my status is as shown below? I have been able to get our score to 462 and I am hoping we can get in the next draw.

Your Job bank registration has to change to 'Met' before your profile is complete. How long has it been like this? You might want to send in a request to technical support if it doesn't update soon.

Secondly with POF, two months ago we decided we will have a better chance if my wife became the main applicant so I transferred about $12000 into my wives account to meet the required level as she had about $20000 in her account at the time. My question is do I need to write a letter of explanation for the $12000 I transferred to her because it hasn't been in her account for 6 six months and will I need to provide my bank statement to prove the money came from my account?

Along with the certificate/letter from your spouse's bank, uploading a simple signed self-declaration from you, which explicitly states that this transaction (include all transaction details) is a gift not a loan hence need not be repaid at any point in time, will suffice. You don't need to provide any LOE or bank statement from your end.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Asivad,

After 127 days after AOR, CIC sends me today 2nd AOR!

Isn't that ironic? I got excited this morning when I saw the new message, only to find out it's 2nd AOR....

They rejected my BOWP on May 19th due to not having 2nd AOR. This is when my implied status expired and basically I have until August 19th to update my status.

Do you know if I can apply for a work permit with this 2nd AOR now? As I said, my PGWP has expired.

My take on this would be that you are very close to getting your PPR. There appears to be no rhyme and reason for sending out the AOR (most applicants haven't received it).

Do you want to try challenging your BOWP rejection in the light of having this AOR? As it is almost 3 months down the line, that might not even be possible or completely futile. I'm not sure but worth a shot if that is possible.

I'm fairly certain you cannot apply for a BOWP now because you would need a valid and unexpired work permit for that. This is based on my limited understanding - others can weigh in with their opinions as well.

Thank you for your quick response. My plan was actually to wait until this weekend in case I receive PPR and then go to the borders to request a visitor status.

I'm from a visa exempt country, so I was thinking that I can at least get a visitor status for another 6 months until I get the decision.

Do you think that this is possible or will I be in trouble since my status has expired and I haven't applied for restoration? But again, I don't have a valid permit to restore it....

Do you need those points? If yes, you need an ECA. If no, you can safely answer No and not be prompted for documents. CIC doesn't care for validation of any foreign education credential that your spouse might (or might not) have when you are not claiming points for that credential.

Hi Asivad , I don't need the points . But I have her 10th and 12th marksheets with me . So I should choose YES for her education and give the details . But in the ECA section select "NO" . Is that correct ?

If you're attaching any foreign credential without an ECA, an LOE explaining this would be in order. You can also choose to completely leave her education out of this application and answer No upfront. Your call.

ah , Ok Asivad, I understood you now .. In EE profile itself you are asking me to answer the question

Has xxxxxxx finished high school or any higher education (including university, college or vocational training)? NO

So that I donot provide her education details at all. But if I do like that will they think I am bringing an un -educated spouse ? Will that affect the PR ?

Is there any other section where I can say she is educated at secondary school level ?

It doesn't matter. Spouse education has no bearing on PR processing if you've not claimed any points for that section.

Hi Asivad,
I have a question for you:
If I do the flag pole in the boarder to extent my work permit, do I need to have a US visa?
My US visa has got expired in June 2015.
Thank you for your advice. :)

As far as I have heard people tell the custom officer that you are there for flag pole. They know this and will allow you come back to Canada.

Oh, I still have a valid work permit in Canada, so I can come back Canada for sure.
I am wondering if I need a US visa to do the flag pole? People all said that they did the flag pole in the boarder, but is that in Canada boarder or US boarder?
