Need your suggestion. Our country recently introduced Machine Readable Passport. So, my old passport which was completely unused, was cancelled and I was issued a new MRP. while sending OINP application package I have sent all copies of my NEW passport but left the old passport completely(I guess I messed up there). I had sent my application package back at the end of February that means there is still sometime before I hear from them. So is there anything that I can do to stop my application to be deemed incomplete and sent back to me?? some seniors suggested to send email while some suggested to send the hard copy with LOE. what should I do??

Sending additional information when you haven't even received an AOR from them is dicey - how would they add documents to your file when it is still untouched? Recommend that you wait until getting an AOR and then follow up with this information - it isn't a critical element so your application shouldn't be rejected for being incomplete.

I got my reference letters from my supervisors and they were not stamped, neither did they include their complementary cards. I hope this won't a problem?

If those reference letters were printed on organization stationery (letterhead) which mentions contact details, not a problem.

Dear Asivad sir,

I had created EE profile with my wife as Primary Applicant. We had 475 CRS and got ITA in March-2016.

Our personal History is as below:

1. My Wife: Residing in a city in Gujarat, India since 2005. After marriage residential address got changed but in the same city. In between 2005-2016 we had moved to another State of India for 9 months but my wife stayed there with me for just 5 months.

2. My Personal History: Residing in the same City of Gujarat, India since 2005. But due to work, I had to Live in a city in Uttar Pradesh, India for 9.5 months.

My query is, do we need Police Clearance Certificate / Police Verification Certificate from both the States of India ?

1 PCC issued by the passport authorities.

We submitted our application on 17/04/2016 and got a ,ail stating that our application is cancelled as we did not provide Police Certificate for all residential addresses ?

My wife stayed in Uttar Pradesh for only 5 months. So do we need to get PCC for her also of for mine only ?

Probably because you submitted a PCC which was time bound or geography bound or both. You could've saved yourself this heartache by visiting the forum sooner as you would've probably noticed other applicants from India being refused on the same grounds. Avoid the police authorities - get just 1 PCC from passport authorities as they can vouch for your stay anywhere inside the country.

How long PCC is valid? Lets say i never went back to the country after i get the PCC. Is is still valid for six months or more than six months?

My friend got the PCC, but he is going to apply for EE after three months only. He needs to get another PCC or current one will still be valid?

I also got Schedule A request but I didn't notice any section in that form where one can detail about travel history or any trip.
Did I miss something?

No u didn't miss anything.CiC separately asked me to give explanation of my USA trip.

If one is not back to a particular country till he/she files for ITA it's valid for life long.

We will be reaching Canada in May 2nd week. For the POF, we are planning to take Travellers Cheque for $12000 and $3143 as cash with us.

What documents, other than the Letter from Bank reg the FD, are required to be carried by us along with the above funds?

If the requirement for 2 individuals is $15,143 and you have no other dependents, you may choose to take additional documentation but it isn't required. Declare upfront that you're carrying this amount.

If we are carrying jewellery, should we state its worth in the Declaration Form?

Yes. And you'll need to take photographs as well.

Also are there any charges when we submit the travellers cheque at the bank? Yes. Check with your bank/financial firm.

Not sure if this is a normal heads up mail that IRCC started sending out of late, haven't heard of such a thing before. The actual COPR is a rather long single page document which captures all your basic information and has the expiry date written on it. Each applicant gets an individualized COPR.

Please note that my wife and kid will be in US and they should also send passport to ottawa ?

Please guide me on how i can handle this at the best.

Hi Asivad,

Can my mom apply for Visitor Visa while I wait for outcome of my PR application? My father has deceased and as a dependent I will be sponsoring her Visitor Visa. This will allow her to be Visa ready and travel with/soon after us (wife and I) once we get a PR application processed. Applying for Super Visa can take time after getting the PR so looking for other solutions. Thanks in advance.

2 ways to do this.

1. You can FedEx your passport to your spouse and they can submit all the passports together to CPC Ottawa. Typical turnaround time is 2 weeks.

2. After the PPR comes through, request for a change in VO for yourself alone while informing them that your dependents would be sending their passport to CPC Ottawa. Typical turnaround time is 7-10 days.
