Does anyone know how long it takes for a temporary work permit to be processed if an employer is interested in sponsoring you? Anyone having experience with it?

Like if a company has gone through the process of sponsoring a candidate for permanent residency and while the process is undergoing, to have the candidate work under a temporary work permit.

Not LMIA as in Atlantic States, LMIA is not necessary. Just for a permit to start working while the application for PR is in process.

Depending where are you applying the work permit from, processing time varies between countries like for work permit applications within Canada is 5 weeks processing time.

You can go to the border and get the permit right away, if you don't want to wait.
