Temporary Travel Document from AbuDhabi

Dear All,,,,
I have landed in April and still not received my PR card.In the meantime I have to travel to Bahrain and suppose if I wanted to re-enter Canada without PR card in two months I was made to understand that we have to apply for a Travel document from Abu Dhabi.Do any of you all had a similar experience of applying a Travel document from gulf and what are the documents you provided.Also by leaving the country wothout the PR card will it affect my residence in Canada anyway.......seniors please help

For applying from Bahrain

Website reads:

"If you are physically in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar or Yemen and you have been legally admitted on a residence visa, visit visa or transit visa you may apply for a PRTD in our Embassy before travelling to Canada."
