Temporary Resident Visa - please advise me

Hello

I need advice from Senior Group members.

This will be indeed a personal favour and I will be really thankful.

- My daughter was born outside Canada.

- Her sponsorship was filed in October.

- We got eligibility for her sponsorship in November.

- The file was forwarded to CHC Islamabad and we are waiting for her file number.

- We applied for TRV in which was declined in January 2011.

- Can we submit application for TRP (temporary resident permit).

- We need to submit on basis of Humanitarian grounds.

- What is the probability of getting TRP.

1. You can apply for the TRP, but if Isbad refused a TRV, they probably going to refuse a TRP. But you can try.

Pls advise how to expedite processing of PR application?

Further, if TRP is applied, wil it affect the PR application.

1. There is no H.& C. for TRPs.
2. You can't, dependent children are the fastest now. Minimal medical, no background.
3. Will have no effect, you will probably have the PR before the TRP anyhow.

Thanks for sharing this info. As you said that processing for dependent child is done on priority basis, I submitted application is October and eligibility was given at end of November 2010. I was informed that file will be moved to local high commission office and as per web site, processing time is 16 months. I have not received any file number. What might be reason in delay for opening file? With your experience, what will be the total time period in which decision will be made? Can I expect decision in another couple of months?

TRV was rejected, shall I apply for TRP?

It won't take 18 months, I would think about 6 months, unless there is a problem with the paternity of the child. You can apply for TRP, but I doubt that it will be issued, they are few and far between for children.

- Application received by CHC Pakistan on December 01st, 2010

- Medicals received.

Since there is no background check, I would think within a month or two you should have the visa in the passport.

Any progress on your case? I have the same one but your file was transfered two months ahead of mine. Please share if you have any updates.

Secondly, did you filed a TRP? Any details to shared on the process and result?
