My application got received on June 2019 and haven’t got any response from CIC yet.

But yesterday they gave me one temp file number which start with X....

Is this valid number? Can I link my application with this?

Link on GcKey? Go ahead and try it...only way to know. You can get into ecas right now using your receipt #. There are various options for getting into that to see your app.

Did you try ecas using your receipt #? I'm assuming this error message is from gckey. Ecas is more informative before file transfer...maybe even beyond as GcKey doesn't move much.

You say it was received but you haven't gotten a response from them. How do you know it was received? What response are you waiting for? AOR? Or have you received that? If you have AOR, next thing you hear from them is sponsor approval. For me that took 6 weeks from AOR. It can take several months though. After that it is file transfer or additional docs request.

Yes, I called CIC and they told it was received on June 10, 2019. I have not got AOR yet.

Ok so if no AOR that means they haven't looked through it yet to verify that it is complete and ready for processing. It is still at the stage where it could be returned to you if anything is wrong. Try Ecas. You may be able to see something there.

Ok. Then your file is in a pile waiting to be opened OR it was incomplete and is on it's way back to you. AOR is taking longer than it was for those submitted months before you. They must have gotten a lot. Just wait by your email. Nothing else you can do. You are not the only one waiting a really long time for this first stage to move.

How long after did it take for your AOR?

I submitted my file on September 7th, I called CIC and ask today, they gave me the same temporary file number which starts with XF0008xxxxx, they said you need to wait for the confirmation email, it's waiting for them to review the file

does anyone know how long this process will take?
