Hi All,

I would be soon landing by mid Dec in Toronto as a new immigrant with my family ( 2 adults + 3 children) . I understand that new immigrants need to arrange on their own health insurance for the first three months.

Appreciate, if senior members/immigrants can recommend reliable and reasonable private health insurance providers.

Thanks in advance.

I used Blue Cross as well. The policy I bought was about $700 for 6 months. It only covered accidents and emergencies (no regular office visits or pre-existing conditions). Try a Google search of "private health insurance, Ontario" and get some quotes. There seemed to be quite a range of prices and policies when I was looking.

Blue Cross is a good choice but somewhat pricy from what I understand.
