Hi all,
I am currently working in the united states. Recently appeared for the IELTS and scored CLB 7 overall. My points as per the CRS is pretty useless right now(378). If i somehow secure a LMIA approved job offer, it increases to 429, which is still way below the cut off of 459 as per the recent draws' numbers. In my case, would it be better to first secure an offer, move to canada on Temp work visa then apply from within canada or is it better to go through the PNP , secure the 600 points, and then move in as a permanent resident? Would be very interested in hearing all perspectives. I have close to 10 years of experience in the software industry with the last 7 being with the same employer, if that helps. I am assuming the closest NOC code would be 2173 (software engineer) since that is already my job title.

Thanks for your help.

If you are thinking OINP tech draws, their cutoff is above 430
LMIA is an option but try to increase your IELTS scores first.

I suggest you to secure a LMIA and move to canada first if possible. And you can run both options in parallel. Most PNPs are in favour of ppl that has already been in Canada.
And Ontario recently is demanding ppl with NOC2173 experience
