I was hoping someone could provide verifiable information on whether IRCC accepts TEF Canada test results taken on different days for the four sections. Both of the official TEF Canada websites (linked below) state that all four sections must be completed on the same day for the results to be recognized by Canadian authorities. However, I wasn’t able to find this requirement explicitly mentioned anywhere on IRCC’s website.

I’m wondering whether this omission is simply an oversight on IRCC’s part, or if the process has been updated to allow candidates to take the sections on separate days and perhaps the TEF Canada websites haven’t been updated yet.

Unless TEF has started taking each sections of the test separately for the same test - no! Your all four section's results are expected to be from the same test. I forgot, but if you go to the EE profile(or the ITA response form), we usually upload a single TEF certificate or the certificate ID/number.

I’m not sure about other test centres like Alliance Française, but I know that ILSC Toronto allows candidates to book each TEF section separately. That said, if the system doesn’t let us upload multiple certificate IDs, it seems we’re required to take all sections in a single sitting. It’s a bit unfortunate, I’d prefer doing the sections on different days rather than a three-hour session in one go. Nevertheless, thanks for the response!

Based on the information available on the official TEF Canada websites, all four modules must be taken on the same day for the results to be recognized for Canadian immigration purposes. While IRCC's website does not explicitly mention this requirement, IRCC generally relies on the testing organization's rules for test validity. To avoid any issues with your application, it's safest to follow the TEF Canada guidelines and complete all sections on the same day.
