Hi :),

I immigrated in 2010, stayed till Feb 2011 total of 7 months, had no job but I opened a bank account and credit card in my name, going back home in Feb I closed down my bank account. I retained my credit card. I did not file taxes at that time. After more than a year, I came back in Aug 2012 , found a job and willing to settle here. I received T4 from my employer, now I have to file taxes.
My question is 1. Should I file taxes from 2010 to 2012 ?
2. Should I disclose my income I made in my home country during the period 2010 - 2012?
3. In Toronto, can you suggest few places where I can go to do my taxes?

Thanks
Preetha

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
I don't think you should file taxes for 2010 and 2011 because you did not really settle. In neither of those years did you stay more than 6 months and you did not have any income. You should file for 2012 though.

You can file yourself using different do it yourself programs or websites. I have been using ufile.ca They make it very easy for you.

If you want a tax consultant, you can go to HR Block or someone else.
