Taxes due for PR in 2018 for less than 183 days?

I immigrated to Canada as PR in Sep 2018, have less than 183 days in Canada as a PR. I have not had any income in Canada, but I have some global income in another country.

Do I need to file taxes for this year? Or am I considered a non-resident for this tax year?

You will need to pay taxes to CRA on global income you had after you moved to Canada.
