Hi everyone, I just wanted to ask for advice about my citizenship application. In the physical presence section, I selected “No” for being outside Canada in the last five years, because I have not travelled outside Canada at all. However, in another section that asks whether I was in a country or territory other than Canada for 183 days or more in a row during the past four years, I mistakenly selected “Yes” and provided a Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) just as a precaution. Now I noticed this mismatch and I’m a bit worried if it could affect my application. I haven’t received my AOR yet. Has anyone else faced a similar issue, and what did you do in this situation? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You can attach a letter of explanation to a webform after you receive your AOR

I think in most cases they figure out minor discrepancies like this. And having provided a PCC even if not formally required will not cause a problem.

That said, I think the suggestion of a short letter of explanation via webform once you get AOR makes sense.
