So, I think I know the answer but I was hoping to get maybe some confirmation from somebody here.
We immigrated my wife up here through spouse sponsorship. She landed on December 31st, 2017, so she was legally landed 1 day in 2017. Tax season is coming up, and I would assume that we don't need to send in anything for her as it would just be a 0. That being said, would it make sense for us to basically send in a 0 for her, since her first tax return will need to be physically sent on paper (rather than netfile), just to get that part out of the way and have the next year be easier since she could just send on netfile?
