Tax on money transferred into Canada for non PRs

Hi there,

I am living and working in Canada on a Work Permit and was wondering whether I need to pay tax on the money I am planning to transfer into Canada? The money comes from my parents/family back home and we are thinking of using it as a down payment for a buying a place in Canada.

Any advise is welcomed.
