I have got PR 3 yrs back and left for UAE after completing landing procedures.
Now, my company which has got branches in Edmonton, Alberta has offered me a transfer for 40k/Annum with family insurance. I am with my wife who plans to look out for job after arrival & my 4yrs old daughter.

I would like to know how much would be my take home monthly after all deduction from this monthly CAD 3,333. Also, would like to know about child benefits & other benefits coming to canada. Kindly assist.

If you calculate the base tax (without child benefits, etc), you can estimate your take-home (expect about a $2,600-$2,700 monthly take-home salary in Alberta).

If you want a more accurate estimate, you can plug in your assumptions here:

http://taxtips.ca/calculators/taxcalculator.htm

You can increase your monthly salary (electing to have a smaller return) by reducing the income withheld on each paycheque by completing your TD1 form to include all of your potential tax benefits (such as the child and spouse benefit). Otherwise more tax is deducted and will be refunded when you file the return. However, consider this like giving an interest free loan to the government.
