Hi, In T1135 its written that "individual (other than a trust) does not have to file Form T1135 for the year in which the individual first becomes a resident of Canada (section 233.7 of the Act)". Can anyone tell me if this means the year i landed or year i became tax resident of canada ?
I landed in 2016, stayed for a week and then returned back to Canada in 2019 for permanent living which is my first tax year as well.
