switching schools

hi there
I have a valid study permit untill jan of 2014 however if finished my degree early and i'm planing on attending another school in September. My study permit does list my university on it but it says that i'm not bonded? will i have to apply for a new study permit if i'm switching schools. I applied for PR and i know i'll land before december but i just dont want to have to wast $150 on a new permit justfor 4 months

I think you can extend your permit.

how about the case of my CLP?
he needs to look for another school because he's school recently closed.
he's study and work permit (co-op program) are all under the name of the school he previously attended to.
it surely need to be modified to change the school's name right?

how is the process?

if for same province no need to change - as stated

if s.p is linked with co-op wp - request modification - ( this correction takes 15-20 days) u can call cic for this - proceduree is simple

do you have any idea if i can go on with my spousal open work permit application using this same study permit? or do you i still need to wait for my clp to find a school to transfer to before i apply?
i hope it wont take that long because we are separated for months now and i really want to be reunited with him and our son

then i guess he is no longer allowed to work now due to cancelled work permit.
