Hi All,

I am currently in the process of switching employers while my CEC application is in process. I will explain what I mean:

I currently work as a contractor through a placement agency for a well known bank and now my manager recently offered me a full time position at the bank which I have accepted. My role or job description does not change only my employer does from the placement agency to bank.

In this case, Do I need to send a employment letter from my manager as per the requirements of Immigration Canada and send it to them with a explanation letter that I have switched employers or it is not required??

Well, It's always good to report Immigration Office if there is any change.

I would say go ahead and send them your updated employer information. Make sure don't forget to mention your File Reference number.. If you don't have it, then wait till you get your File reference number.

However, it is not necessary for a CEC application. The decision will be based on the work experience/education that has already been submitted. Not what the applicant is doing now.
