Hi, I am gathering information in applying for Surrender Certificate of my Indian passport.
Inquiry: In my Indian passport it listed no spouse since I wasn’t married at the time. I’ve since become a Canadian citizen and recently got married. On the Surrender Certificate form, my spouse’s nationality is Canadian—do I need to submit a marriage certificate since this differs from my passport details? Any other document I need to submit to support the changes?
Also, is there a current document checklist to be submitted with the forms? I can’t seem to find it anymore.
Finally, has anyone done a walk-in at BLS (Brampton, Mississauga, or Toronto)? Any tips - How early did you all arrived and wait times?
Thanks in advance, and sorry if this has been asked before.
