Surname not written on passport

On my passport surname's column is empty
But on the acceptance letter its written 'Singh'
Now on linking the application when entering passport's detail the page does not continues if i leave the surname blank
What do i do ?

Did u leave it blank while filling passport? Ideally we Indians use our lastname or father name as surname...

1. If you follow the instructions at www.cic.gc.ca it states if you don't have a surname, you put your given name in the surname space and leave the given name space blank.

you can't leave "given name" empty .

Put your first name over there even if it repeats. I filed recently and had used my last name as singh but my passport says singh as my first name as well.

While in Italy my visa had "xxx" under first name/ given name & "xxx" under surname


I am wondering what will be on my canadian visa ? and how to compile visa forms

if you don't have surname in passport your Canadian visa will be like:

First name/Given name=
Surname/family name= xxx

they will put your first name as surname and first name would be blank.

Hello everyone,

How to book ticket to Canada with below visa as i didn't have surname in my passport.

Visa Issued as:
First name:
Surname: xxx

I wrote to air Canada and they advice to put

First name: "NF"
Surname: "xxxx"


Can you share how to book online with this condition with different airline?
