Hi everyone my wife is applying for her mother. We are fully responsiblefor her financials. So, we are writting financial support letter and don't know how much amount is sufficient. Since they said I should include amount.

Depends on where the mother is coming from and for how long you plan on hosting her
she will be with us for 8 months. she never works back home, she is from nepal
Has she ever held a visa to Canada before?
You will have to show enough funds for the duration of her stay and also cover her flight costs.
What is your status in Canada?
Does she have enough ties back home to Nepal?
Consider all this while submitting your application
An 8 month visit is too long unless she has her own funds to support the visit. It will be refused. Again if you are PR or citizen, look at a super visa if you want her to come for 8 months.
This will be her first time
will be buying her ticket and everything, she has a house and lands and my younger siblings backhome

So if you are applying for a super visa, you don’t provide a letter but your NOA to show LICO and your bank statements.
