Hope everyone here is doing safe

I am a Canadian Citizen (Unmarried). Parents reside in Mumbai, India

I will be eligible to apply for the PGP program next year when it opens

In the mean while I was confused if I should apply for visitors visa or super visa

They had visited earlier in 2016 on visitors visa but their passport expired and so did the visa.

I wanted to know the processing time for both visitors and super visa?

Do I need to take insurance for my parents for the visitors too?

I would like them to visit for next summer July-August 2022

Any advise would be appreciated...Thanks

Have a good one

There are no guarantees when it comes to PGP so do not plan on being able to secure a spot next year. If they only want to visit for 3 months and have enough of their savings to support their own travel and good ties to India a TRV is fine. Processing time is likely to be 1-2 months if not faster if they’ve already done their biometrics. Although not required, it would be highly advisable to take out emergency travel insurance. If they need medical care in Canada they could end owing a huge amount of money.
