I called them last week to ask if they received the medical results. They confirmed that they received it and told me an officer is working on the file. Nothing else. The agent on call was rude and did not tell me much information.

There is zero point in calling when you are expecting normal processing. If it takes 4-6+ months then follow-up. You are just wasting your time and will not be provided any additional information. This is a visa that may allow someone to visit for up to 5 years so processing of over a month is reasonable.
