Hi,

Is there any way to remove myself as a host from my parents super visa which is already been approved - they are already in Canada as well. Reason is family dispute.

I am trying to understand whether I am legally responsible for paying my parents’ health insurance under their Super Visa.

If I cancel or do not renew their insurance, could I become financially responsible if something happens to them or they require medical treatment?

The reason I am asking is that my mother is currently living somewhere else and is still expecting me to pay for her insurance. My father is living in my basement, and I am also being pressured to pay for his insurance. I have asked both of them to return to India because I can no longer afford or continue providing this financial support.

If you can no longer pay for their supervisa insurance send a webform to IRCC. They need valid supervisa insurance to legally be in Canada. Provide the contact information & address for your parents and let them know they have been reported for living illegally in Canada. Being in Canada without status can impact their future travel to Canada and other countries. Would also offer to pay for their flight home.
