Hi all,

I am applying my Mom for a super visa but I'm wondering about the following requirements,

First, the insurance requirement. Should I buy this already when I am not sure if she will be approved or not? It is part of the listed requirements.

Second, the plane tickets or itinerary, should I buy this already when there is no approval yet? It is listed as to include photocopy of plane ticket.

Thank you for your responses.

You can cancel insurance as it's triggered after landing - no need to buy plane ticket b4 approval, however an itinerary is not a bad idea. Super visa is mainly dependent on sponsors income, mothers tie to home country with assets etc, past travel history, medical tests so prepare for these first

You can definitely cancel it and receive your money back (perhaps less a small admin. fee). Also, if your mother visits for less than the 1 year period of the insurance, and doesn't file a claim while she's here, you can also receive a pro-rata refund for the "unused" period remaining on the policy.

I don't think the immigration office needs a proof of round trip tickets- as long as all the Super Visa requirements are satisfied.

By the way the cancellation may prove tricky since some companies will require a proof of return tickets to issue the refund.

Friends,
Need to have few ambiguities cleared.

- my sister is a canadian citizen and is willing to invite but cannot bear expenses of their stay as she himself is undergoing through a financial crisis.

1. so, how can i assist/ intervene to fulfill the basic requirements of "Financial sponsorship" and that 'minimum income pro-rate' condition?
2. can i opt for the normal visit visa option? my father has a property in his name so will that suffix to show ties to the home country and financial stability?
