what is the minimum bank balance I must show if I intend to get my mom here for 1 month?
Also anyone who can give a ball park figure on the cost of insurance - please and thankyou.

there is no minimum limit as per my knowledge , as much as you can , as long as ur qualify(Low income cut-offs) LICO. and for insurance i recently did for my mother with zero deductible , no pre-existing condition and her age is 59 year old and it cost me $1387.

bank statement, pay stubs, emp letter are only supporting documentation - what visa officers look as evidence that you meet LICO cutoff is Option C/NOA for last 3 years. In fact, for PR sponsorship, NOA or Option C from CRA is the only accepted document for proof that you meet the LICO cutoff

1. There is no minimum balance. However, it would be wise to show them as much as you can.

2. The cost of a Medical Insurance for a Super Visa depends on a person's age, his/her pre-existing medical conditions status, total amount of coverage as well as the amount of deductible.

You may use an On-line Medical Insurance Calculator for Super Visa and see what options are available.

Thank you everyone- appreciated.

I applied for Super visa for my mom and what I showed was

Employment letter
Notice of Assessment
bank statement showing balance of 11K
letter of invitation
declaration of support
Insurance certificate

she got the visa...

I think Super visa category has high success rate as it is beneficial for Canadian economy when we buy insurance from Canadian companies so go ahead and apply with what you have and you will get the visa for sure
