Supervisa for parents
Applicants in India

Application Submitted: Nov 4, 2025
Biometrics Collection Letter: Nov 5, 2025
Biometrics Completed and Updated: Nov 11, 2025
Medical collection letter: Feb 16, 2026
Medical appointment scheduled: Feb 18, 2026

Hello.

Submitted super visa for both parents living in India.
Both of them previously held Canada Visitor Visa which expired in 2024 along with passport expiry.
They both had previously given Biometrics in 2019(dad) and 2020 (mom) which is currently valid till 2029 and 2030.

Status:
Applications submitted: 8/Feb/2026
BCL generated for dad :8/Feb/2026
Biometrics Status: Completed (marked on 8/Feb)

BCL generated for mom: 13/Feb/2026
Biometrics Status: Completed (marked on 14/Feb)

Question:
While submitting their application, I had selected option of giving biometrics again if needed, and also paid $170 for both of them.

Now, I see, that IRCC has already mapped their existing biometrics and marked Biometrics Status as Completed as well.

But I am confused why the BCL(Biometrics Collection Letter) was generated.

Do I need to ask them to provide biometrics again?
Please help clarify.
Thank you.

Hello Friends,

I need your suggestion and advice on this, Applied for Super visa in November, Got Biometric Request within a week, Finished BioMetric due to reason in December 2025.

Thanks in Advance, Need your assistance before reapply.

Thank you for your interest in coming to Canada. I have reviewed your temporary resident visa (visitor visa) application and supporting documentation to assess whether you meet the requirements for a visitor visa
(https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/visit-canada/eligibility.html)
This includes assessing whether you are coming to Canada temporarily for the reason(s) you describe in your application. I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/I-2.5/index.html)
and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR) (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/sor-2002-227/index.html).

I am refusing your application.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/SOR-2002-227/section-179.html). I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will leave Canada, based on the following factors:

• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.

To get help with understanding your temporary resident application refusal and what you can do next, visit:
https://ircc.canada.ca/visit-visiter/en/refusal-visa-application
.
Next Steps: If you decide to apply again, know that: • your new application will be assessed on its own merits, • you must resubmit a new application and all relevant supporting documents and pay a new temporary resident application fee, and • your new application may be refused unless it is supported by new or different information that would satisfy the officer that you meet all application requirements.

Reasons for the refusal of your application
To help you understand why your application was refused, below are the Officer Decision Notes (ODN) specific to your application as they are displayed in IRCC’s system.
These notes were entered by the officer who assessed and made the final decision on your application.
• I have reviewed the application. I have considered the following factors in my decision. The purpose of the applicant's visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details provided in the application. Insufficient proof of relationship between the applicant and host has been provided. Weighing the factors in this application, I am not satisfied that the applicant will depart Canada at the end of the period authorized for their stay. For the reasons above, I have refused this application.
