Super Visa -- In Canada Application -- Medical Question

Hi all,

My parents are here in Canada and I have applied for their super visa. I just received medical request in MyCIC for my dad but not for my mom.

Is this common to receive medical request separately for family members or I need to contact CIC for mom’s medical?

Yes that is common. By the way, I was told that you cannot apply for Supervisa from within Canada. How did you do that and which forms did you fillout ?
I was told that you can only apply for 2 years extension if the parents are already in Canada ? Did you apply for 2 years extension or Supervisa ?

Super Visa from inside Canada is considered as extension of stay. With all the documents you submit for extension of stay you will also need minimum one year medical insurance with $100K coverage and a letter explaining you are applying for super visa. The extension will be granted for maximum 2 years or the expiry date of your parent passport whichever is less.
