Super Visa - anyone applied as yet?

Hi Guys,

I really hope you can help me figure out how to apply for my parents. So I am writing the steps I did below and really really appreciate if someone can let me know I am doing the right thing, i do not want to screw this!

- Created an account for my dad
- filled out question form, chose visiting canada for more than 6 months (there was no option for supervisa...)
- when it was asked what is your relationship with your family member, I chose Legally married spouse. I initially assumed this means me, because I am in canada and it asked about me in prior questions, but then I could not submit IMM5257 online as it was showing the error "the information in the form is not consistent with question flow" and it was damn confusing. So I realized by "Family Member" in that question it is referring to my Mom who is accompanying my dad. It is really confusing because out of nowhere they suddenly ask what is the relation with your family member and you have no idea who are they referring to! Ok, sorry, lets move on...
- Now, there was no option for choosing super-visa after I did the questionairre so the only thing I did was choosing the type of visa as Super-visa in IMM5257 for both my mom and add in the document checklist.
- Also, when initially I had chosen myself as the family member, it was asking for medical insurance for a minimum of one year but that document is not needed in the new checklist. So I am confused and think that maybe I am doing something wrong here.

Can anyone tell me how is the process for online application of supervisa. I really appreciate if you can also describe it from the parents point of view as my parents can not really apply due to language problems so I have to do it on their behalf.

as i am thinking of applying for a super visa for my dad. his visitor visa got rejected so i wanna give it a shot for super visa application

I got PPR request for my mother in law today for Super visa. This is a big sigh of relief considering her previous 2 applications for visitor visa got rejected. Now she needs to go to VFS-banglore to submit passport.
Applied online: March 17 2017

Its the same story with us, visitor visa got rejected twice and applied for super visa on March 16th. Got passport request yesterday and submitted in VFS Bangalore today. Will she be travelling sometime this month?

Hi,

Why is that people who applied after are gettimg the results. Its so frustrating I applied on March 24 was hoping to see something by end of this week, but looking at the above story m worried now

Does any one has any idea how does CIC picks up application to process? Is it random or they pick up date wise?

Medical Passed on April 8.
Status on application is Medical passed.

Still waiting for PPR

1. Parent grandparent sponsership
2. Visiting visa more than 6 months
3. Super visa

Is it better to apply without the medicals and wait for the request OR

Generally a pre-medicals helps to speed up the process, as this would negate the delay of them sending the request, then obtaining the appointment for them, the doc uploading the results and then the VO reviewing them. (Anywhere between 5-10 days depending on which country one applied from). It's not a mandate but a good to have.
