Super Visa - anyone applied as yet?

Hello everyone.

Experienced advise needed.

I am applying for super visa for my parents. But the issue is that their passports might not be available for the next 4 months because they have to submit these somewhere.

I am concerned about 1. What alternative document can be used for identity if medicals called
2. If Paasport request arrives, can we request CIC to submit the passports with delay. Is this acceptable to them?

best option is to apply when you have passports in hand. but still if you want to apply soon. then do medicals upfront. Medicals are valid for one year. once medicals are done. then passports are not required.

secondly, apply online., I think for paper application they may ask you to submit passport along with the application.
when cic ask for passport. they send you an email. they write in that email that how long you have to submit the passport. normally its 30 days.

so 30 days plus processing time which is around 60-70 days for india. it gives you 90-100 days. and if you don't have your passports with you by then. it will be a problem. so better wait for a couple of months and then apply.

My parents applied for super visa online. So they didn't submit their passports. their passports will be sent to cic only when cic ask for that. Till then passports are with us. regarding medical exam, my parents went for medicals before applying online. So they took their passports to the hospital for one day when exam was performed. after then passports are still with us.

So during whole process, passports are with my parents. if they want they can travel outside india. or if they need their passport for some other reason.

Hi I have a question for you guys

I have applied for my mom super visa on 19-April 2017
On 20- April she has done her biometric
On 25-April they requested additional documents (Noc , confirmation of family size)
On 26 - April I submitted all the req. doc
The application is an online application
I checked the status this morning and it is written on the medical bar
(We are reviewing your medical exam results)
My mom hasn't done her medical yest we are waiting for their request
Anyone knows what does it mean (reviewing the medical )
Is that a sign that she will be getting the visa ???

I have question like my parents supervisa insurance will be start from 20 may 2017. But till date there is no news from cic. So should I have extend the policy and update the new policy to cic as well ?

Please extend your policy and no need to update CIC.

Whenever your parents will get the VISA and plan to travel, please change the date again accordingly.
