That's a rate without pre-existing conditions. I think most of the parents fall within 55-70 years range and very few of them will have all healthy conditions. You may be one of them - that's really terrific. But imagine that some parent being hypertensive or diabetic (which are very common at that age) will not be covered if they seek emergency medical in Canada and the insurer finds that it was caused by his/her pre-existing conditions (HBP/Diabetes).

Your said insurer has the following rate for a 60 year old parent, $0 deductible, with $100,000 coverage for 1 year:
- $1259 without any stable pre-existing conditions
- $1679 with stable pre-existing conditions

That's more than $400 difference :D

They are not legally separated, if they are legally married. Write both of their current addresses. They won't question it if you tell the truth. The marital status should be legally married (unless they are legally separated, which you said they aren't).

Thanks Landin_PR, for you suggestion. but the problem is I don't know my father's current address. so what should i put in his address, the last known address to me ?. will that make any issue because now he is not living at the address i know. i know a 4 year old address. Do you think visa officer verify all the addresses and marriage dates or date of births etc for relative (e.g husband, siter, brother etc.) of the Applicant mentioned on application forms.?

The status can be checked online in my cic account where the online application is filed.
If you have applied paper application , you can create my cic account and link your paper application to get real time updates.

Another option will be calling cic helpline 1888-242-2100 and by prompting 1-1-1-8 for visitor visa , we can hear automated status .

My suggestion would be my cic account because that gets updated realtime.
. Thank you.I linked my paper application to online account and it worked. Now I can see that medical is successful and I get updated information.I do not have to sit quitely in the dark untill an email or message is received but I can see the progress online everyday.

Hi,

I am at Toronto and applying Supervisa for parents who live in India. I plan to apply Online and have few doubts. I would really appreciate if someone can please clarify on following:

1) For IMM5645E asks to fill names in both English and Native Language. Is it mandatory to fill it in Native Language? I have tried copy paste native language content in PDF file but it doesn't get written in correct format. Can we attach this form without filling in Native language or there is another way possible and tried before in successful Online applications?

2) My Parent's passport has Surname added. But my birth certificate and other Certificates (even my passport) has their name without their surname. Is this fine or I need to provide any extra document/reasoning to CIC for it?

3) My father is a Govt employee in India. Does he need to attach any NOC type letter from his department?

Regards

Hi ,

I am preparing to apply for super visa for my parents they are both employed and are 60 and 52 years old. I applied for the visit visa earlier but it got rejected because of:
- ties to Canada
- Financial proof or proof of funds

The challenge is all my brothers and sisters (plus two of my uncles) are in Canada. So how do I show ties to home country for super visa, especially when super visa is intended for a longer stay which mean they will quit theirs jobs. My maternal grand mother and other uncle aunts live there that can be one, I guess.

About the proof of funds, I am well above LICO for the last three years so I can submit my tax returns, how much should my parents have in their bank account 5K CAD or 10K CAD ? I know the more the better but I am just trying to get an idea .

Any feedback will be appreciated. Thanks

Please looking for a clarification

My mother in law arrived safely last week. A quick question I have is that she wasn't given a timeline, She only got an entry stamp on her passport without a leaving date. I read in this forum that some folks got like 6 months, a year or a max of 2 years.

Without a date is that means that she got a maximum of two years anyways.

Thanks
