Super Visa - anyone applied as yet?

Hi Rossie/ or any other member,

I know u told me that from Bangladesh it might take 2 to 8 weeks to process SV. Just trying get an idea, if we dont get an answer within 8 weeks, what I supposed do?

Should I email VISA office directly to inquire? Is it okay to do that? What could be other options.

Um, it's more like 4 to 9 weeks. If you don't see significant progress in your SV application within 2 months, you can email SVGO. SVGO may not bother to reply back but expedite the processing. I've seen people getting medical request right after they contacted their LVO. Not necessarily true for SVGO as Singapore is famous for slow processing.

Note that Upfront Medical (if allowed and medical result is satisfying) will expedite the processing.

I bought from GMS through an agent from Toronto. I went to see an agent just to know which insurance company works best when you actually claim. However, I really cannot recommend any until I make a claim (God forbids).
Tell your hubby to listen to me if he doesn't listen to you ;D
Jokes apart, I'm not much familiar with online application. In fact, some steps are very confusing in online application. You have to seek help from them who applied online before.

1. How to choose Medical insurance activation day?
2. How will the premium dedication will work and is it dependent on the number of months of stay in canada or How?
3. Can we do pre-medical before applying for insurance and Super visa application. My folks have pre-condition and they dnt know what precondition they have but they take medication wat doctor prescribe.

Hi All,

Applied for parents Super Visa. Got medicals done on 18th and got my mothers status updated as passed yesterday the 22nd. My dads status still says we need your medical information.

I have attached insurance docs along with application as per requirement by CIC.

1) now can it be that they haven't reviewed my dads medical docs yet and can be updated in next couple of days.

2) my dad has mild Parkinson's, and it was declared during medicals and Doctor noted but did not bother much about it, rest he has no other problem - do you think that can be a problem

Does anyone know any case got rejected for Super visa cozy of Parkinson's

My wife has appllied for SUPER VISA on March10 and her file is with CIC,Bangalore,INDIA.
We received a mail for MEDICAL on APRIL18.
My wife carried out medical check on April20.
She has received a slip called E MEDICAL from the hospital.
Should we submit the E MEdical slip or letter received from the hospital to CIC?
How can I check the status of my application?
My wife's file took 40 days to get medical instruction.
Now how much it will take to get the VISA approved?

Please guide me in the matter.

I am filling out the Super visa application for my mother and counter following difficulties, I would request you friend to help me out.

1. My mother has only one name on her Passport that is her name mentioned as her surname, this has been the case in all her previous passports as well and she has been able to visit me in Dubai with same name on many occasion, will this create any problem ?
2. My father passed away when i was very young and we do not have his death certificate or Date of death or date of birth, what should i write, just enter my best guest
3. similarly my grand parents were born on 1920's they passed away when i was young so i know their death dates but i dont have their exact date of birth, shall i enter my best guess there as well.
4. In the application form where it says Funds available in Canada, shall I write the amount she has or i can combine both mine and her funds and write the figure ?

any guidance will really help

It can. Most times, CIC considers both parents as a 'single' application. So, CIC may not even update your dad's status properly.

Well, it can be a problem. CIC can ask for further medical checkups. Does your medical insurance doc explicitly say that it will cover any emergency need due to Parkinson's? The VO will ensure that SV parents won't become Canada's liability in any way. I haven't heard anything re: Parkinson's in this forum. But keep patience, CIC will either give both your parents the visa or re-direct your dad to do detail medical test.

The status can be checked online in my cic account where the online application is filed.
If you have applied paper application , you can create my cic account and link your paper application to get real time updates.

Another option will be calling cic helpline 1888-242-2100 and by prompting 1-1-1-8 for visitor visa , we can hear automated status .

My suggestion would be my cic account because that gets updated realtime.

No one can say with absolute certainty that your parents got the SV. But they have a very good chance provided their medical result was normal/good. Just keep patience for few more days.

Medical report to cic on 21 April still there is no updation
On passport request .
