Suggestion for govt employee noc

Hello all,

I am the principal applicant and my husband will be the secondary applicant, problem is that my husband (Secondary applicant) is a government servant. Can anybody help me in this regard. Will i require his No objection certificate to send with the application package ???? or i can send the application without his NOC ????

Hi kzehra. First, I hope some seniors respond to you, however in the mean time:

I'm curious if you need any of your husbands points to qualify i.e. are you getting 67 points just by yourself. If yes, then go ahead and apply. Attach to your application an Addendum i.e. a letter which is an addition to a form explaining that your husband is a government employee, what exactly he does, and most importantly, explaining that you are not claiming any points from his occupation.

I think it would be better to apply along with your husband, because once you get to Canada, it would be difficult to bring your husband in later. If you already have the points, you only are gambling with the additional application fee, and need to show additional funds.

I personally think that the no objection certificate is only if you have kids, and your husband is not an applicant. If you don't have kids, you can apply without your husband.

Does your husband fit under any of those categories? By the way if you describe what your husband does, someone might be able to help you.

No, that would be a teacher. However a government official working in the education department or school board would be a civil servant depending on the country.
