Do your parents have specific grounds for an H&C case? The fact that they are married and are not alone will be a factor that is considered. Are they able to care for themselves? How old are they? Why is supervisa not an option? Had they applied for asylum before and were refused? Are they currently in Canada and on what type of visa? Had you applied for PGP? How many times? Can somebody please suggest an experienced lawyer in or around Vancouver for HUMANITARIAN AND COMPASSIONATE cases for parents ?
DoDo you have a recommendation?

- They can certainly apply under PGP if H&C is refused (assuming you are selected through the lottery). Can u tell bit more about how to contact moderators?
So if a parent gets rejected in h and c case.. they cant even apply under pgp program or supervisa?
I never read anything like that?

Yes but many are under the impression that getting H&C for parents is easy or without consequences and don’t have any H&C reasons. Not getting selected for PGP or being elderly and wanting to live with family in Canada is not a reason to apply for H&C. Before suggesting going to see a lawyer I was trying to identify if they actually had H&C reasons. The fact thatboth parents are alive usually makes it harder to get H&C. Many have posted before that they have been told that getting H&C for parents is easy just put it is in the best interest of the child to have their grandparents in Canada. That just isn’t the case. Supervisa exist for a reason and allow for very generous stays which will also be an argument against giving H&C unless someone has very strong H&C reasons. Every year after PGP applications there are a huge batch of H&C applications for parents that get filed. Not getting selected for PGP is not a reason to apply for H&C.Poster asked for recommendation....
Would suggest reading case files about parents and H&C. I have included one example but not getting selected for PGP, wanting parents to live in Canada, having grandchildren in Canada and being older is not enough to get granted H&C. As already indicated if they get denied then visiting in the future may be very difficult. Can somebody please suggest an experienced lawyer in or around Vancouver for HUMANITARIAN AND COMPASSIONATE cases for parents ?
