Hello all,

On March 21st, I received a message on CIC website saying that I need to send my passport to CIC within 30 days to receive my visa stamped in the passport.

I did so and sent my passport to the following address :

CPP - Ottawa (e-Application)
PO Box 9640
Ottawa, ON, K1G 6T2

But in response I received a letter which says:

"You have submitted an Application to Change Conditions, Extend your Stay or Remain in Canada as a Visitor, Temporary Resident Permit Holder, Worker or Student (IMM5708, IMM5709, IMM5710). Applications for extension or restoration of status in Canada may be submitted by mail to the Case Processing Center in Vergreville, Alberta, or electronically through MyCIC (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/e-service/mycic.asp)"

In fact, I didn't send any application. I had applied through CIC online website and it was accepted. I was sending my passport to have the accepted visa stamped in it.

Anyone knows why this happened ? I did the same process (sent to the same address) a few months ago for my wive's visa and it was ok !

I'm confused !

Thanks
