Hi there,

I’m experiencing a dilemma. I enrolled in a short-term language online training offered by the community college. It would only be for 3 months. However, my work permit states that I’m prohibited from studying in any educational or vocational training course. I got my work permit in January 2024.

This course will begin in one month, should I back out from this course or is my condition not applicable to shorter, online courses? Please let me know if this is mentioned anywhere on IRCC website.

Thank you!

It's not applicable for language online training and any online training.
Do I need to disclose this in my PR application later that I took this course? I’m just concerned that it’s with the community college and they ask you to accept the terms and conditions. And one of the terms was - can we share your information with IRCC? Since I’m assuming it’s a language course. It also requires me to not leave the province for the duration of the course cos then I won’t be eligible for it.

There's no option not to disclose anything, you must disclose everything when you are asked.
