Study/Work Permit Fees

Hey Guys,

My wife got accepted into college in Canada, we want to apply for the Student permit for her and the open work permit for myself. Question comes in regards to proof of funds, we have the 1st year of tuition covered but according to the CIC website we would also need 14k for the living expenses for both of us, this part we don't have.

However, my brother lives in Canada and we would be staying with him. He will be providing us the living expenses until i can secure a job. He is willing to provide us with a letter saying that but right now he doesn't have 14k in his account, so i would not be able to provide proof of funds for his behalf.

Do you think i should just drop it and not apply? Or do you think they won't request his proof of funds?

Am sorry my friend, you have no way of making it. 1year tuition + 14K is the minimum amount required, be it self funding or sponsored by somebody.

You can possibly get some student loan. That might relieve the financial burden little bit. Still, hard proof for the said amount will be absolutely necessary.

Greetings to one and all.

I am from bangalore, i am 35 years old and married., i was planning to apply for Express entry but i feel i wont get more than 360 points, so i decided to go with study visa and later will apply for PR from canada if possible.

my question to all, and i would expect suggestions and help to get things done easily.

As people says, i need to keep sufficient fund in bank when i visit VO, but if get loan from local bank for complete course fees, still do i have to keep enough fund to show VO or if i dont get loan from bank and i will arrange or borrow from friends or relatives and pay 1 year tuition fees for college,
do i still have to show fund in bank,.

also i wanted to know how much do i have to keep fund in my bank account, at present i have my father property worth 70 Lakhs, and personally dont have any fund in bank., except few thousand,.,

please friends, tell me how do i go to next step, i dont have any idea in this case., also i wanted to know from you guys, which university is good for me, i am in Computer Science i have already completed bachelor degree in Computers couple of years back, and presently doing self business in computers,

if i have to apply for study visa, how to start from beginning, plz give me step by step procedure for applying study visa,., and how many months will take to get visa., also if i have to take my family is it possible to sustain in canada with wife and 1 daughter, while studying...,

my aim is to settle in canada, just using study visa method to settle in canada nothing else...
