Study visa ontario tech

Hi all,
I have applied recently for study visa as I have a funded position in Ontario Tech. I have completed my biometrics on 3rd november and medical at time of submission that is 2nd november. I have to join by january 1st 2027. Its 4 year program. My family resides in Pakistan and I have a job of Research Associate here in Pakistan. What are my chances getting visa before january 1st 2027.

What are estimated processing times for Pakistan? Is this PhD? If you have a job and it is a 4 year program then not coming back to it. If security/background checks not completed may still take a while to get a response.

Thanks for quick response. Its a Phd program. I have attached letter which mentions that I will be on study leave and get full pay while on leave and will join institute after completion.

estimated time mentioned on portal is 6 week.

Background check is underway, previously processing time was 7 week, last month it was updated to 6 Week and now it is updated on Nov 4 to 5 Week. It means process is pacing up quickly. Should I contact my DLI for supporting my application?

DLI cannot do anything. Hopefully since PhD then quick response.

Processing times are guaranteed. You are experiencing normal processing but you should communicate with your school about what happens if you don’t get a study permit by a certain date.
