Hi guys,

I applied for a study permit from within canada and it has been two weeks or so and I have a family emergency and need to leave the country second week of July. When I applied for the study permit , there was also a box that said temporary visa extension which I had also ticked so I could get both the study permit and re entry. Now that I have to leave, does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do? I currently hold a visitor visa as i had to restore my status.

I was told I could apply for a re entry visa when i return to my home country? I want to make sure that it is approved and not complications since I was already granted the visitor visa.

I found out my representative sent the wrong form for the study permit so we had to re send the new one and because I had mentioned how urgent it was they said they will try and process it early for me so hoping to get it latest by next week. fingers crossed.

I just got word from my representative that the application has been processed and being sent back to me. Took them 8 days to process it as it was an urgent case. I am grateful.

1. Yeah, except the mail strike will probably delay it.

lol i feel like ppl on this forum enjoy giving people negative news. I sent them a return UPS envelope already paid for, so I am not using canada post. :D
