Hello,
I have secured a funded PhD admission with an annual funding of CAD 20,000. This funding does not include tuition, which has been reduced to approximately CAD 6,000 for the first year due to my PhD status.
During my initial application, I attached my acceptance letter (which mentioned both the funding and reduced tuition), along with my personal bank statement showing around CAD 7,000. I believed this would be sufficient since I already had confirmed funding. However, my visa application was refused, with the reason stating that I had not demonstrated sufficient financial capacity to sustain my stay in Canada.
I am now reapplying. This time, I have secured additional funds from my father (around CAD 19,000), which have been deposited into my account. I also have a cash gift deed/affidavit stating that my father has given me this amount out of natural love and affection, and that I am not required to return it.
Since this is my second application, I want to ensure I address all financial concerns properly. My father does not maintain a formal bank account balance as he keeps his savings in cash. However, I can provide his salary slips and an affidavit of financial support from him.
Could you please advise whether this would be sufficient? Additionally, what other supporting documents should I include this time to clearly demonstrate my financial capacity?
Thank you for your guidance.
